The Christian story tells us that God made our bodies “good”- so good that Jesus took ON a body! But often it doesn’t feel that way. We spend most of our time disconnecting from ourselves, God, and each other because of our bodies! Race. Gender. Sexuality. Age. Disability. Families. So many bodily differences can be a real source of pain. But what if it doesn’t have to be this way? What if we could learn how our bodies could invite us to know God and one another in love, healing, and delight? This summer we are going all the way back to the beginning, to the book of Genesis, to learn more about what it means that our bodies were made good - with all of their potential and limits - in the hope that God will lead us into wholeness.
