Jog for Joy 2022

Oct 29, 2022

On Sunday, December 4th, 2022, join us for a classic 5K race experience with professional timing, pre- and post-race snacks, and some holiday fun for the whole family as we raise money and awareness for mental health resources for teens! We’d love to have you join us as a participant or a volunteer in hosting the event. For those who can’t make it in person, you can still register as a virtual participant, do your jog during the week of November 27 - December 4th, and support the cause from wherever you are!

Race History

In 2019 Highrock MetroWest hosted a 5K fun run in support of mental health resources for teens and followed by a rockin’ party to celebrate. We raised enough money to sustain locally-offered youth mental health first aid courses for several years, and we partnered with people from all over to spread a little light in a dark season.

Since then, we've hosted two more jogs that have resulted in tens of thousands of dollars being given away! In those first two years, we donated over $40,000 to mental health resources for teens!

Our Beneficiaries

Whether you walk, jog, roll, or stroll, you’ll be supporting these two amazing organizations:

Needham Youth and Family Services (Needham, MA)
The Boston Project’s Teen Mental Health Ambassador Program (Dorchester, MA)

Race Details - December 4th at 1:00pm

People of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate in this fun run for a great cause! Grab some friends and form a team or register as an individual!

Lend a Hand

Are you interested in supporting this cause but not by walking or jogging? We would love to have you join us as a volunteer! We'll need help preparing for the race and taking care of participants on race day. No prior connection to our (or any) church is necessary. There are volunteer opportunities for families, children, adults, and teens, and our Race Director can sign off for student service hours. All abilities welcome.

Donate

Feeling inspired to give without jogging? Go ahead and fill out the registration form but click “I want to donate only” instead of registering for one of the events. You can then specify your donation amount and pay through the form. You can also contact any of the organizations to give directly.
