Here are some reflections from previous participants in the class:
Alex from China
"Highrock English class is like a family to me. I can't wait to go to the class each week. I couldn't speak English well at the beginning but my teachers encouraged me not to be afraid to speak more. Over a few months, I gained confidence. I was able to communicate in English fluently when I left for home. I have made so many friends with my teachers and other students in the class. I am deeply touched by the amazing hospitality of each teacher and I will always remember my time at the English class."
Leo and Clariana from Brazil
"My English teachers at Highrock English class were the first people I got to know after we came to Boston. We needed the opportunity to practice our English and we felt so much more confident after a few months with our teacher's help. They asked what we needed to learn and helped us with our language needs. They have become my best friends. We celebrated Thanksgiving together when we were homesick and we went to the Christmas concert together."
Aly from Japan
"Highrock English was my favorite class in Boston. The teachers were very patient and the small group conversation helped me to have more chance to practice my English. Most importantly, the teachers treated us like friends. I learned a lot about the American culture."
Ben from China
"I asked myself why these teachers are so nice to me. They are the kindest people I have ever met. They came every week and taught us English all year. They invited me to their home and I had the most beautiful time spent with my teachers at their house celebrating holidays."
Meng from China
"I am very grateful to all my teachers. They spent time with me and cared about my improvement in English and my stress at my lab. Each week I learned something new about the American culture and I had many chances to learn the American culture outside of the class. The teachers are very kind people. The best ever English class!"
Jean from China
"I will always miss Boston and the most wonderful teachers I have met at Highrock Conversational English Class. I want to help other foreigners like them after I go back to my country."
